Norman Board of Education names Reagan Elementary principal
The Norman Board of Education has approved the district’s recommendation to hire Tara White as the principal at Reagan Elementary.
“We are excited to welcome Ms. White to our district,” said Dr. Nick Migliorino, Norman Public School District superintendent. “She brings a wealth of administrative experience to our district and will be a tremendous leader for Reagan Elementary.”
White, a Norman resident with more than 20 years of education experience, was most recently the principal at Purcell Intermediate School. Prior to that role, she spent several years as an elementary school principal in Broken Arrow, Okla., as well nearly 10 years as an assistant principal at elementary schools in Edmond. She also served as a classroom teacher for third, fourth and fifth-grade students.
She has earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from East Central University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.
White replaces Kelly Otis, who accepted a position with the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
