Crosstown Clash set for Friday
The “Crosstown Clash” hits the hardwood Friday, Feb. 2 as the Norman High and Norman North basketball teams face off in the first of two regular season meetings between the rivals. With the boys and girls teams from each school ranked in the top 10 of Oklahoma’s class 6A, fans are in for an electric atmosphere and thrilling action.
Friday’s contests will take place at Norman North High School, with junior varsity games beginning at 3:30 p.m. and varsity play tipping off at 6 p.m. Admission for adults and students is $5 and a limited number of free gameday t-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Seating for Timberwolves fans is located on the south side of the gym, with student seating at the east end of the bleachers. Seating for Tigers fans is located on the north side, with student seating at the west end of the bleachers.
Fans who can’t attend the games in person can still catch the exciting top-10 showdowns. Varsity action will be carried live on SportsTalk 1400 AM and streamed live at NormanSports.tv. SportsTalk will also air a pair of “Crosstown Clash” basketball shows this week, focusing on the Tigers Wednesday, Jan. 31 and the Timberwolves Thursday, Feb. 1.
The second and final meeting between the squads will take place Friday, Feb. 16 at Norman High School.
As a reminder, we strive to provide a positive gameday experience for all fans. Therefore, attendees are not permitted on the floor and throwing objects in the stands or onto the court will not be tolerated. Signs, flags, fatheads, confetti, powders of any kind or any other items that could cause a hazard or detract from the gameday experience of other fans are prohibited.
