    School Counseling Beliefs:

    • Education is a collaboration among students, parents, school, and community.
    • Learning requires active participation, mutual respect and individual accountability of students, parents, school personnel, and community.
    • All students will be supported by a comprehensive school counseling program.
    • Students' immediate needs are met through information, consultation or referral.
    • All students have a right to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
    • School counselors will abide by professional school counseling ethics.

  • Dailing "211" provides individuals and families in need with a shortcut through what can be a bewildering maze of health and human service agency phone numbers. By simply dialing 211, those in need of assistance can be referred, and sometimes connected, to appropriate agencies and community organizations.

988 Mental Health Lifeline

  • 988 is a three-digit phone number to call in a mental health crisis, whether that is thoughts of suicide, substance abuse issues or other mental health problems, like depression or anxiety.

Calls are answered by an in-state crisis call center to address and de-escalate mental health crises in the moment and serve as an entry point for Oklahomans to get connected with other mental health resources.
