Oklahoma Public College and University Admissions Standards
- Community Colleges: No minimum required. You should take required high school classes and graduate from an accredited high school or have a GED and take the ACT exam.
Please visit with your school counselor regarding specific university requirements.
Oklahoma's Promise
- Oklahoma’s Promise allows 8th, 9th or 10th grade students from families with an income of $55,000 or less and are Oklahoma residents to earn a college tuition scholarship. Students must also meet academic and conduct requirements in high school.
Classification
In order to be promoted to the next grade level, students must have acquired credits as follows:
9th to 10th grade: must have earned at leave five (5) credits
10th to 11th grade: must have earned at least eleven (11) credits
11th to 12th grade: must have earned at least seventeen (17) credits
12th grade: must have academic standing that would qualify them to graduate during the current school year
